Remigijus Bubnys (ORCID*, VUSA profile) is a professor, chief researcher and head of the research group in the field of education sciences and training processes “Teacher Education and Teaching / Learning Processes” of Vilnius University Šiauliai Academy. Remigijus Bubnys is a member of the Lithuanian Scientific Society, Lithuanian Educational Research Association, International Professional Development Association (IPDA), the editor-in-chief of a periodic peer-reviewed open access scientific journal “Social Welfare: Interdisciplinary Approach”. For more than 16 years, he has been investigating the practices and manifestations of reflective learning strategies and the application of reflection as a didactic method at different levels of the education system. His main research interest is the promotion of responsible, critical, and active learning in the areas of reflective and innovative technologies to develop the personal and professional competencies of prospective specialists in the process of change.
He is the author of four scientific studies, eight methodological aids for students of higher education institutions, and more than 90 scientific articles published in peer-reviewed Lithuanian and international databases. He has participated in more than 60 national and international scientific conferences, delivering over 80 presentations on research related to specialist training and professional development issues.
